Complaining About Lacking Talent Is Just an Excuse to Be Lazy.
Many of us have a "fixed mindset," in which we believe our lack of inborn talent limits us and prevents improvement. However, studies have shown that adopting a "growth mindset" can lead to development through hard work and seeing failures as opportunities for growth. Instead of focusing on innate talents, we should work hard to improve ourselves, even if we're not naturally gifted. Complaining about lacking intelligence or talent is just an excuse to be lazy. Take math as an example. In elementary school, many people who can't keep up with the class are labeled as "terrible at math." But in reality, everyone has the potential for mathematical ability. Numerous studies have shown that everybody has a "math brain" and that math skills can be acquired through learning and practice. And this growth mindset applies to developing other abilities as well. Isn't that exciting?
